Radio Australia:An Australian academic says the federal governments intervention into Aboriginal communities has similarities to its actions in the Pacific, especially Solomon Islands. The prime minister, John Howard, has announced a ban on alcohol and pornography in the Northern Territory and deployed police backed by the military, to combat child abuse in Aboriginal communities.
