These things are worth fighting for

via Joel Beasant

Sydney band Andorra have recorded jazz with Muslim leader, Keysar Trad, put on rock festivals for the Aboriginal Housing Company at the Block, and organised Rock Against the Free Trade Agreement, among other things.

Now the band has released a music video of the song 'These things are worth fighting for' to support the 'Your rights are worth fighting for' campaign of the Australian Union Movement, and as an offer of an anthem for the upcoming APEC protests.

Video can be viewed by clicking on the following link: Andorra

These things are worth fighting for features legendary UK Rasta Ras Ronnie (of Versionaries fame) and dancing by African Essence (whose members include emerging hip-hop artists The Killa Queenz). The song was originally done by English dub-godfather Gary Clail.

Andorra lead singer Joel Beasant says: ‘Andorra believe in positive reliance and hope in their music contributes to an upbeat confident mood that defies the deceitful and anti-human agendas of APEC and its proponents as they gear up to push its agenda further in Australia's next general election. The band hopes that the APEC protests are not exploited by the media through the manipulation and incitement of 'violent' imagery to justify the re-imposition of a state of fear; which corporate conservatism will use as a platform for re-election.

"The band hopes you can view their video and that it echoes in your \mind as you contribute to our upcoming struggles with unbridled enthusiasm for a better future and mirthful, unfearful contempt for our common foes. "
