SA party registration

If you don't know it, all electoral parties who weren't represented in federal parliament have been automatically deregistered and have had to re-apply for formal party electoral status.

This included the Socialist Alliance.

Here is the list of those up for registration:

• Carers Alliance
• Cheaper Petrol Party
• Climate Change Coalition
• Help End Marijuana Prohibition (HEMP) Party
• Non-Custodial Parents Party (Equal Parenting)
• Senator On-Line
• Socialist Alliance
• The Fishing Party
• What Woman Want (Australia)
  

So among the wild and wonderful,(A Mel Gibson party?) -- a party flogging socialism seems very much out of lobbying mode compared to these other single issue groups.

Signs are good that we'll get the nod so come next federal poll -- the list of party options --while that list will include the SA -- is sure to offer fewer named groupings to choose from. And listed on each voting slip -- there will be the socialists.
