In the third demonstration outside Exxon-Mobil's Jakarta offices this year on March 12, 2008, workers and their families organised by the militant trade union federation, the National Front for Indonesian Workers’ Struggle (FNPBI), an affiliate of PAPERNAS (the National Liberation Party of Unity) queued up with empty bottles and jerry cans demanding the nationalisation of the foreign-owned mining and oil industry. The placard in the picture above says: "Price of oil rises, Exxon profits, Bad luck for the people!"
