Malaysia: Goodbye Sam Velu. Hello Dr Michael Jeyakumar

In the wake of the recent election result here's a farewell song to Samy Velu -- the Malaysian Minister of Works, Party President and former incumbent of Sungai Siput. It's from the very funny satirists at ComedyCourt

Susan Loon:Samy’s conquerer “feel great”

Said the unexpected Samy Velu conquerer to Malaysiakini @ 4.04am:

“We went in as the underdog but his (Samy Vellu) credibility had eroded terribly among the Indian voters”. (YB Dr. Michael Jeyakumar, PSM central committee member)

Earlier @ 1.30am, I said:

Malaysiakini is missing Samy (Velu) already : MIC - a new era begins

An interview, let’s say, with Dr Michael Jeyakumar is wanting. We want to hear from the man who has defeated Samy Velu hugely in Sungai Siput. This man, a doctor, and the central committee member of Parti Sosialis Malaysia, created history.

We want to hear about winners, not losers!

We would like to know for example, what Jeyakumar will do for Sungai Siput, now that he has been given a chance, to represent the people there. Will he only work for Indians, or for Rakyat Malaysia.

We don’t want to hear MIC apologists talking about the past. Reminising about day gone by. Hey, it’s a new era for Rakyat Malaysia, not MIC, haven’t you heard?

MIC’s chapter is closing, especially after the Hindraf debacle. But Dr. Kumar has even criticised Hindraf, still the Indians in Sungai Siput voted for him. What is his secrets? Hiya, Malaysiakini, ask him-lah.

See. So many questions. But not for MIC. MIC sudah layu (wiltering), let them go.

Aiyooo Malaysiakini, enough of MIC-lah!
