Workers from construction sites on the University of NSW joined striking National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) members in a solidarity rally. Susan Price, UNSW branch president of the NTEU, thanked the Construction, Forestry, Mining & Energy Union and spoke of the importance of other unionists and community members supporting the building workers in their fight for abolition of the draconian ABCC industrial police laws still imposed on the industry under the Rudd Labor government.
