I just love the scream! Note to self: One day soon we'll have ads like these in every electorate campaign. BTW I have tried to consolidate the various Socialist Alliance election Youtube postings here.

Aside from the SA, are there any other socialist and left candidates standing?

a very public sociologist asks... Are other socialist candidates standing?

Yes there are. The Socialist Party (an affiliate of your CWI (which I know you are aligned) is standing a candidate in the seat of Melbourne. The SP and the SA are calling for a vote for each other.

Formally too the Socialist Equality Party (the dregs of Gerry Healy's WRP aligned group here) calls itself socialist -- but they are sectarian maddies. Outside that: no more that I know of.

As for "left" -- it depends what you mean. The SA had to review all candidates to construct its preference flows for each seat we stood in and for the senate race. Generally our flow was (1) SA (2) Greens (3)ALP -- but in some instances there are progressive independents and outfits like What Women Want which are left of the ALP.So we preferenced accordingly. The picture varies from state to state depending on whose standing.
